The Spring session of racing was rather exciting yet grusome at some points. We did rather well in collecting on some very nice racers for the next year, still in search of a good two year old colt with some promising potential. However, with the group we have now out on the field it looks great.
Currently our most active racers are THE BLACK PEARL, who raked in the dough for us during his Triple Crown Tour. Although he did not steal away the crown, we were rather happy with his results no less. He remained to stick in the top three placements so this is good for us. We are hoping his summer season will bring more exciting wins and losses all the same. We are also happy to announce that THE BLACK SPOT who is the spitting image of his daddy was born. He's got alot of energy and has some quirks of both sire and dam.
Another young star of our farm is MISS RESISTANCE FREE, although a two year old still. She shows a great deal of determination on the field. No thoughts if any more racing will be done this year, our current mode is to prepare her for the three year old year. Definitely looking at a Triple Tiara entrant from her. She's got the speed and will most likely dish it out to the ladies next year I can tell.
Our more older lady and gentleman of the track are doing superb. BARBARO remains an undefeated horse, which perfects his condition of the prize of our racing hearts here at TO. He was also not long ago used for stud by yet another great racer, Ruffian and the foal is expected next year! Along with him our lady of the older field is GENUINE RISK, who did quite well for her two races already. Not really sure what we will move onto do with her yet, but considerations might be a Breeders Cup entry.
Training on our youths of the crew are going well, CAT GUTS has shown improvements thanks to the help of Kalmia. His twin brother is also coming along nicely getting ready for next years debuts. Along with those two, we have the Captain colt who is just learning how to Play! But aside from him, our no longer racing equines are doing just fine. STORM CAT takes his retirement with full stride, enjoying the lap of luxury now that he no longer meets hoof on the track.

In other spots of the news, we have our famed Mare GUTS OR GLORY, making a splash into the show world still. She's got her ups and downs, she just hasn't found her perfect type of event. But with all retired racers, it generally takes time for one to get into the groove of it all.
All is well in the hillsides of Twelve Oaks, we will keep you posted!
