This week at Twelve Oaks has been a bustling one, between getting ready to head out to Churchill Downs for the first of the Triple Crown and bringing in new horses. Let's just say we've been busy!
THE BLACK PEARL has made a full recovery just in time for the Kentucky Derby, after pulling a muscle in his frontal leg. He's in tiptop condition to run for the roses. He was seen this past Saturday at Top Creek racing against two of his running mates in the Derby, Pearl Harbor and Secretariat. We leave on Sunday night to ship him to Louisville and will we most likely be arriving there around 3 am. We look forward to his week of workouts and will let you know how he fairs out at the Derby this coming weekend.
In other news, we have recently had some new arrivals here at Twelve Oaks, alot actually. Full brother to home-bred GUTS OR GLORY has arrived .. GLORIFIED a bit older then herself will be standing at stud for the farm. Another oldie but great horse, AZRYLITH a beautiful mare. Along with the arrival of BARBARO who will stand at stud but is also for sale. And last but not least! MISS RESISTANCE FREE, a wonderful 2 year old filly who looks promising for the future!
In other news, BEAT THE CLOCK our only non-Thoroughbred was scheduled to show this Sunday but had to cancel out due to our rapid busy moving to get down to the track at Churchill Downs!
